Bachelor Thesis - Helium-3 Gas Handling System
In this bachelor thesis, an automated control of a helium-3 gas handling system for one of our cryogenic scanning tunneling microscopes will be programmed. The gas handling system is controlled by a Raspberry Pi, which reads pressure sensors and controls gas valves. The control software was written using Python. Currently, the system can only be operated manually via a touch screen. This is now to be extended by a control system that can, for example, perform cleaning cycles autonomously.
